How Hamas Terrorists Attacked a Desert Rave in Israel: What Quickly Turned Into a Deadly Massacre
On October 7th 2023, not only did the State of Israel change, but so did the electronic music community. The Tribe of Nova music festival in the Negev Desert, what was supposed to be a festival celebrating love, joy, music, freedom, and nature, quickly and horrifically turned into a deadly massacre.
Electronic music lovers gathered in the Southern District of Israel to dance with their friends and listen to their favorite artists, just as ALL of us in the music community love to do. The festival was supposed to be a party dancing from the night until the morning, also celebrating the ongoing Jewish holiday of Sukkot and Simchat Torah.
But tragically, this did not play out as any average festival would. Terrorist organization, Hamas, brutally ambushed, invaded, terrorized, attacked, kidnapped, beat, raped, and dragged Israeli party-goers to their death.
Background Information on Hamas: Hamas Is NOT Palestine

For those who are unaware, Hamas is a terrorist organization. Hamas is a criminal gang, which only cares about increasing their own power. Hamas is not Palestine.
Hamas has no method when it comes to any war strategy; they blindly fire missiles with no specific targets.
In 2022 in Gaza, as many as 25% of rockets launched by Hamas crashed within Gaza itself. 50 Gaza civilians were killed with their OWN rockets and at no surprise, Israel was blamed.
Hamas does not care or have any regard for the people of Palestine. Hamas cares about the Jewish genocide; beyond that any genocide.
Palestinians living in Israel are just as likely to be killed as the Israelis are. Hamas has zero regard for human life. Their terrorist organization uses their own people as human shields.
Hamas will never be satisfied and never stop lying.
The Festival Experience
At around 6 AM, people at the festival claimed they heard sirens blaring, warning of incoming rockets. There was confusion whether it was part of the music coming from the festival or a real impending threat. Within minutes, it was evident this was a serious danger and people began to run for their lives.
Footage was taken during the festival and shows people running for their lives through the desert trying to escape and or hide for their lives.
Multiple videos have circulated social media, but one that especially stood out was of a girl crying and pleading for her life while being taken away on a motorbike by terrorists.
For those that managed to escape, they explained to news broadcasters that they “survived by playing dead”. Attendees were hiding in bushes for hours upon hours.
Festival attendee, Shoam Gueta, told NBC News that he and 20 others fled the scene and hid for 6 hours. As the terrorist attack was unfolding right in front of their eyes, he was urging people to stay still and silent. If they made a move or a noise, they would be next to go.
Numerous videos circulated the media showing rockets being fired, bulldozers knocking down gates to get to civilians, and innocent attendees running for their lives.
Current Numbers
As of right now, it is our job as not only members of the music community, but as mere humans, to do everything and anything we can to shed light on this horrific situation.
Over 270 bodies were found at the festival site, slaughtered in cold blood.
Hamas terrorists did not stop at murder, but brutally dragged Israeli civilians to further torture.
More than 130 were kidnapped, tortured, raped and are still missing at this very moment.
Over 700 people in Israel are reported dead. Among those, 9 of them are Americans.
As more bodies are being found and uncovered, the numbers are only rising. The influx of civilians in critical condition is also a major concern, as hospitals have also been bombed throughout Israel.
Beyond this, the numbers of those reported missing/kidnapped, can likely be dead as well. The numbers keep rising and Israel is in dire need of help.
This could have happened to any of us among the music community. It is incomprehensible to imagine the fear and horror that the festival attendees went through during this time.

This attack was tragic and truly incomprehensible. We are spreading the word as members of the electronic music community and regular rave attendees. But most importantly, we are spreading the word as members of society and members of humanity.
What took place in Israel this weekend is something that no one should ever have to experience. These are crimes against humanity.
No matter what your political stance is, your race, your ethnicity, your orientation. As humans in this day and age, we should all agree that terrorizing innocent civilians is inhumane.
Hamas has kidnapped men, women, children, elderly. Brutally murdered, terrorized, raped, broke into innocent civilians homes, and ambushed a festival. Civilians are still missing at this very moment. Family members are desperate to hear anything from their loved ones. We need your help to spread awareness and find our people.
These are acts that no one should ever support. As a music media page, we would like to do anything and everything we can to raise awareness to the severity of this situation. Please spread the word. It is imperative to expose Hamas for what they truly are and truly stand for.
As for Israel, we stand by you with everything we have. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your brave soldiers. Any and every nation should have the right to protect themselves. Just as music is a binding force in this world, we must bind together to stick up for what is right in the world.
