Artist Spotlight: Super Flu

If you don’t know Super Flu, you are about to be super informed on who they are right now.

Super Flu is composed of two talented artists, Feliks Thielemann & Mathias Schwarz, who just so happen to have a great ear for producing unique electronic music.

Super Flu has gained recognition internationally amongst the electronic music scene for their distinct and innovative sound, which often incorporates elements of humor and their own creative twists. They have released music on prominent record labels and have played at major electronic music festivals and clubs around the world.

The duo’s sound ranges from deep and dark house music to funky techno beats and into the realms of melodic techno.

The two just released a track with Dancing on Lego, “All Good Alright”, and let us just say this - the track is more than alright.

Some of their other tracks, and some of our personal favorites, are “We You”, “Track 51”, “Lord Extra”, “Really Really”, and “Udi”. The duo has even remixed Azzecca’s track “Mantra” and Oliver Koletzki’s track “Copal”. Even big wig Solomun remixed Super Flu’s track, “mygut”.

Super Flu is not your average DJ duo who simply produces music to reach a mainstream audience. The music they produce is utterly a byproduct of their personalized sounds and uniqueness. Their work is wholly authentic and that is a major factor that distinguishes them from any other DJ duo.

When DJs produce and release music they are passionate about, even if it does not appeal to a larger crowd, that is admirable and truly what constitutes music as art. Super Flu really is an exceptional duo; with their distinctive and one-of-a-kind sound, the duo definitely deserves more recognition.
