Top Techno DJ's of 2023
Techno music is the genre within the electronic music world that may not tickle everyone’s hot spot, but for those who do love their techno… you’ve come to the right spot. 2023 has been an incredible year with some insane releases from our favorite techno artists. We are seeing more artists experiment into the techno realms and we are even witnessing techno incorporate more catchy lyrics - which usually correlates with appealing to a larger audience. That being said, let’s dive into our top techno artists of 2023…
HI-LO
For those who are familiar with Oliver Heldens, but not HI-LO, it’s time to expand your musical horizons… far into the depths of TECHNO. HI-LO is Helden’s techno alter-ego where he experiments and creates his deepest and darkest tracks. In the last three years HI-LO has created tracks that have consistently landed him in the top charts for techno.
Considering HI-LO is a relatively new artist in the techno scene, his tracks have garnered support from notable techno legends like Adam Beyer, ANNA, NicoleMoudaber, Nina Kraviz, and many more.
In 2023 alone, HI-LO has released an insane amount of techno tracks. Some of our favorites are:
‘PURA VIDA’
‘TORNADO’
‘Arpeggio’
‘BRAZIL’
‘BONZAI’
‘RIDE OR DIE’ with Eli Brown
There’s plenty more where that came from. HI-LO has actually released more under his alter ego than Oliver Heldens has this year, which is very interesting. Is techno the future of Mr.Helden’s musical career? Has he officially joined the dark side of techno? Well, from the looks (and sound) of it, it sure seems so… and we are so here for it.
Eli Brown
British DJ, Eli Brown, has not only taken the techno community by storm, but he completely ripped the brakes off the techno train. Eli Brown has been on absolute fire this year. With support from major artists like John Summit, Carl Cox, Calvin Harris, FISHER, Claude VonStroke, and many many more, his techno tracks are seriously infiltrating the electronic music scene.
Brown has mastered the exact recipe one needs to blow up. Brown has done two remarkable things; he somehow incorporated the fast paced BPM of techno while also giving us catchy lyrics and melodies to sing along to.
It’s safe to say that Eli Brown might just BE THE ONE to expand the techno genre to a larger audience. With his talent and ear for an infectious beat, it’s extremely hard to resist his bangers.
In 2023 alone, Eli Brown has released:
‘Make You Freak’
‘Be The One’
‘Love Is Free’
‘Diamonds On My Mind’
‘RIDE OR DIE’ with HI-LO
With techno on the rise, Eli Brown is in the hot seat. 2023 has been an impressive year for Brown and we are eager to see the next techno tracks he has for us.
Lilly Palmer
In the top techno charts, it's essential to acknowledge Lilly Palmer, our techno queen. It's truly refreshing to witness a female DJ making a significant impact on the techno scene. Palmer has been on the techno wave for quite some time now, crafting potent, powerful, and profound music for her fans.
Palmer’s dedication and love for electronic music is evident in the sounds she creates and shows she performs. Her energy and music is truly infectious. Palmer not only has a passion for music, but also for her relationship with her audience. Palmer uses her music to express and transform emotions while simultaneously creating a bond with the audience.
Palmer’s tracks are not only addictive for the pulsating techno beats, but for the mythical and wispy lyrics she incorporates. This adds another unique layer to her music which has arguably become one of her signatures.
Just this year, Palmer has released:
‘I Am Machine’ with Thomas Schumacher
‘Fall In Love’
‘Crave’ with Thomas Schumacher
‘You Are My Guide’
‘The Violator’
‘My Fantasy’
It’s been an amazing journey to watch and listen to Lilly’s career expand over the years. Her keen talent for techno music is only going to get better and we are ecstatic to continue to follow along her musical journey.
Space 92
Space 92 is one of techno’s best-selling artists. His sound is a combination of deep, dark, and trancey techno with a touch of acid. Fairly new to the electronic music scene, Space 92 has made quite a name for himself. With 1 Million monthly listeners on Spotify, it’s safe to say, Space 92 has left an indent on us techno lovers.
With techno music on the rising horizon, Space 92 is in solid shape considering his recent success with his music. His DJ name, Space 92, even correlates with his entire aura and vibe of his music.
Listen to these tracks - all released this year - to really get a taste of his techno style:
‘Gravity’
‘Reaktor’
‘Cooper’
‘Arpeggio’ with HI-LO
‘The Abyss’ with Hardwell
‘Time’

Space 92 has had the opportunity to collaborate with long time electronic music legends like Oliver Heldens and Hardwell. The talent is evident and we cannot wait to see what else Space has in store for us.
Maddix
Last but not least, we have Maddix. Maddix has spent the last few months - year of his career truly refining his sound… and lucky for us techno lovers, he ended up joining the techno team. Maddix has experimented with various soundscapes, but it’s a good thing he landed on techno, because he sure as hell is impeccable at creating techno tunes.
Maddix has earned support from other big wigs like John Summit, Amelie Lens, HI-LO, Hardwell, Tiesto, and Armin Van Buuren. When a track is good, you best believe other artists will want to throw it into their sets - and Maddix has got it.
This year Maddix has released numerous techno bangers:
‘Take Me Away Again’ with Hardwell and 4 Strings
‘Tell Me Why’ - Supermode (Maddix Remix)
‘Raw Diamonds’ with PENELOPE
‘Revolution’ with Hardwell and Timmy Trumpet
‘ACID’ with Hardwell and Luciana
‘My Gasoline’ with Feles
Maddix has successfully integrated the hypnotic mysterious vocals on top of deep and dark techno beats. For those who love the fast pace of techno and appreciate lyrics to sing along to, look no further than Maddix.
It’s safe to say, we've gone MAD over MAddix. What an amazing year it’s been for his musical career. We’re looking forward to more bangers from Maddix.
All in all, this year has been a prominent and successful one for the techno scene. We love to see new artists tread through new soundscapes, better yet, succeed in those new realms. Techno is not a genre that appeals to everyone, but to see artists experiment with techno and actually pave the way for their music to exist and appeal to larger crowds is amazing to see.
Maybe we are all on the techno train and just haven’t realized it yet. Sooner or later, we will all get a taste of techno.
