Club Space-Resident Malóne Launches New Label 'WHYNOTUS'

“As I continue to evolve as an artist, I felt that this was the perfect time to start my new label/event series, WHYNOTUS. WHYNOTUS is going to be a platform for myself to express who I am and who I want to be as an artist moving forward, but more importantly, it’ll be a place where I can sign dope music from artists around the world and create an international community.

My new track ‘444’ is the perfect way to kick off WHYNOTUS. It embodies what it means to be on the dancefloor, using a catchy vocal and undeniable groove to evoke the club’s peak hour energy”  - Malóne

Cuban-born, Miami-bred tech-house maestro Malóne has reached an extremely pivotal point in his career.

After years navigating the Miami dance scene as a DJ and producer, Malóne has refined a sound of percussive-driven, Afro & Latin-infused tech-house grooves, making a name for himself in one of the world’s most highly competitive, bustling music communities. His experiences have culminated in an official residency at Miami’s iconic Club Space; sets at THE Hi Ibiza alongside his idols The Martinez Brothers; #1 worldwide spots on Beatport’s AfroHouse chart; collaborations with legends such as BLOND:ISH; releases on labels such as Saved, Insomniac, Abracadabra, and Watergate; and over 1,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify - DAMN.

Now, Malóne is taking his artistry to the next level with the launch of his own label and event series, WHYNOTUS. Designed to be a home for his own releases as well as those from both heavy-weight talents and rising stars, WHYNOTUS will seek to sign and curate artists that represent his cultural heritage: as a Latin American, as a Miami-resident, and as someone who believes in the true power of dance music. I mean come on, WHY NOT?

As a result, WHYNOTUS plans to create a global community of performers and listeners alike, encouraging people to believe in themselves through the infectious grooves of the classic Miami sound.

Today, Malóne unveils WHYNOTUS’ debut single with his newest track “444” - a propulsive, Afro-infused tech-house heater that kicks off the producer’s new era in grand fashion. Filled to the brim with catchy vocals and sharp drum programming that underscore the track’s overall incendiary presentation, “444” perfectly encapsulates the magical bliss of a synergetic dancefloor.

444” kicks off with its central drum pattern and four-on-the-floor beat before bringing into a thumping kick drum. Next, the track slowly eases in a lush synth chord melody and heart-pumping riser before dropping into a deep bass groove - a section that then continues to add layers of percussion and vocal chops alongside scintillating hi-hats.

444” marks an evolution in Malóne’s sound, as it’s a track purely dedicated to pulsating dance music catharsis - a cacophony of elements that acts as a mission statement for the producer’s emerging status as tastemaker and global representative of Miami electronic music.

Following his WHYSONOT launch party at Jolene Miami last Friday, January 26, fans can next catch Malóne on his Latin American tour, which includes stops in Brazil at D-EDGE and Ame Laroc Festival 2024; Medellín, Colombia for La Solar Festival 2024; Mexico City for EDC Mexico, and more.
