Chris Cisneros, widely recognized as CIISNERO, is an up and coming influence in the house music scene. Being a 24 year old New Jersey native, we just know he’s got electronic music ingrained in his genetics. 

CIISNERO’s music taste was initially inspired by 90’s electronic music and as the electronic scene evolved, as did his taste and production styles. CIISNERO was always inspired by the big wigs in the electronic music scene, but always remained true to himself and his passion for music. 

CIISNERO experimented with different sounds and released his first hit, “Polka Dance” in 2016, which amassed over 5.5 million plays across all platforms. After some more experimenting, he eventually curated his style utilizing punching drums, groovy basslines, and hot vocals to top it all off. 

CIISNERO has earned support from major artists like Diplo, GTA, Dillon Francis, Major Lazer, and more. Beyond that, he has performed at renowned music venues in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. 

We were fortunate enough to ask him personally what his musical journey has been like thus far. Here, we get the inside scoop from CIISNERO himself… 

As a rising artist, what do you believe distinguishes your music from the rest in the EDM/house music landscape? 

I believe the punchy drums and swing of the vocal sample chops bring in a different taste to the table. The groovy baselines of my tracks are something I aim to give out to the people to distinguish my sound. 

Reflecting on your journey, are there any pivotal moments or achievements that have contributed significantly to your current recognition and buzz in the electronic music scene?

Ever since I left the Trap/Jersey club scene it was difficult to top gaining support from big artists such as Diplo, Dillion Francis, 4B, and more..  After rebranding and switching my sound and diving into the house/techno scene this year was my first time gaining support from GORDO dropping my track “RITMO” in the Yuma tent at Coachella which was a significant moment in my career.

Have you had the chance to collaborate with artists or producers recently? If so, how have these collaborations influenced your musical evolution? 

Recently I have been working a lot on music with one of my best friends Darien who’s been such a big impact along with being an inspiration to me. We both help each other grow and teach each other new sounds which have definitely affected my sound in a positive way. 

Are there any dream collaborations you aspire to do in the future? If you could play b2b with any DJ in the world who would it be?

I would definitely say John Summit and Dom Dolla are huge influences on me and my sound. Collabing or going b2b would be a dream come true to me. 

Can you provide some glimpses into your creative process? How do you approach the creation of new tracks and where do you find inspiration for your music?

I would say most of the time would be hearing a sample and feeling the vibes I get from that opens up the door into creating a track. I tend to find inspiration from everywhere whether it's a city I’m in or the way I feel at a certain time in my life. 

Are there any upcoming projects, releases, or exciting collaborations on the horizon that your fans can eagerly anticipate in the near future? 

Definitely will be releasing a lot more before the year ends so stay out for new music!

What do you aspire to do as you grow and progress as a DJ and producer?

I want to take over the world and let my music be heard around the globe. I want to start a movement with my brand and inspire others to create and follow their passion.
