‘onePEOPLE’ is set out to be a record label that specifically focuses on Afro-house music meant to connect all people worldwide, aka become ‘onePEOPLE’. The magnetic and infectious feeling that we house music lovers get from music, is one that this record label will encompass.
This label will represent the diverse and vibrant landscapes that Afro-house music is able to traverse. And get this, the label is having icon Alex Wann as the first artist to release his upcoming single, ‘Peperuke’ featuring Nes Mburu, under the label this February 23rd, 2024. How exciting? Wann’s career has exponentially grown in just a year, and now to be able to release a song under a record label solely dedicated to all the Afro-house music lovers out there is quite the accomplishment.
The director of Defected Records, Allan Nicoli (kidFonque), has shared that throughout his two decades in the music industry, Afro-house has been a dominant force within the music world.
He further explained that the opportunity to branch out from Defected Records will be an incredible way to further push the beautiful force behind afro-house music and further diversify the genre and its influence.
